VOLUNTEER TEACHING PROGRAM KAMPOT

Over the past five years the management and staff at LGB have worked towards cooperating with the directors of schools in the Kampot district to bring about some change for the better in the standard of schooling in the area.

KISS, one of the many mottos that grabbed me over the years "Keep it simple stupid", is something that I am endeavoring to do on the subject of volunteer teaching. The need for teachers in Cambodia is great and never ending.  You do not need to be qualified as you will be working alongside English speaking Khmer teachers. Please bring along your Love talents and happy disposition.

Donations are always welcome, also a small contribution towards your travel to and from the school each day if you travel with a teacher from the school that is, otherwise the guest house of your choice can arrange this for you, allow $2-3 for this. Most guest houses in Kampot these days can arrange for you the hire of a motto scooter for around $5 per day more economical if you like the freedom, remember to wear a helmet. Cheaper alternative to a motto is a push bike again some guest houses include this when you stay with them. So there you have it it’s that simple if you have the will and desire a spirit of an intrepid traveler always had thoughts on how nice it would be to be able to make a difference, here is your opportunity. Did you know that almost 50% of the Khmer population are under the age of 25 most would have had 4 year education if they are lucky, there is no national standardized educational model throughout the Kingdom.
